- Enable two-factor authentication for all accounts
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is one of the most reliable ways to protect your accounts. Even if scammers obtain your password, accessing your account without the second verification step becomes much more difficult.
Enable 2FA wherever possible — in email, messengers, social networks, online stores, cloud services, and especially in banking and payment apps.
Recommended second-factor options:
• confirmation via an authenticator app;
• push notifications in the service’s official app;
• one-time codes (including SMS) as a backup option.
Also remember to:
• se strong, unique passwords for different services;
• ever share confirmation or backup codes with anyone;
• eep recovery contact information up to date.
A few minutes spent setting up 2FA can protect both your data and your money.
