Mandatory cashless payments for certain services starting on April 1

Beginning April 1, 2026, new regulations will take effect introducing mandatory cashless payments for specific categories of services and purchases.

Under the updated requirements, the following transactions must be made exclusively in non-cash form:

- Government service payments
- Utility bill payments
- Purchases of tobacco and alcoholic products
- Payments at gas stations
- Large purchases exceeding UZS 25 million
