- Garant bank delivered a lecture on cybersecurity for TSUE students
Within the framework of the department established jointly by Garant bank and the Tashkent State University of Economics (TSUE), a lecture was held at the bank for students majoring in Banking Accounting and Audit on the topic “Cybersecurity in Social Media”.
During the session, current threats in the field of financial technologies were discussed, including phishing, fraud schemes, and social engineering techniques. Particular attention was given to the fact that a significant number of attacks today are carried out through social media and messaging platforms such as TikTok and Telegram, where fraudsters actively exploit user trust.
Bank employees demonstrated common fraud scenarios using real-life examples and provided practical recommendations on how to prevent account hacking, data breaches, and unauthorized access to banking services. Key principles of safe online behavior were also explained in detail, including protecting personal information, using strong passwords, and exercising caution when dealing with suspicious links and messages.
Students gained not only theoretical knowledge but also practical tools to enhance their digital security in everyday life.
Such educational initiatives are part of Garant bank’s ongoing efforts to promote financial and digital literacy among young people, as well as to foster a responsible approach to the use of modern technologies.
